Wow, wow, wow. THANK YOU so much for bringing this dream of mine to life.
Over the past 18 months I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing and talented people like our illustrator Sarah “Freedz” Conlon, Ammon Anderson and Michael Dashow, to bring Gems of Iridescia to life.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, meet gamers, designers, publishers, content creators and amazing artists. It has been the most rewarding period of my life and am so excited to be part of this industry.
This is only the beginning….
So What Happens Next?
My main priority over the next few weeks will be to get the BackerKit pledge manager surveys out to you and putting the finishing touches on all the production files so we can get the Gems of Iridescia into production ASAP. I promise to work my hardest to deliver a high quality product in the best timeframe possible.
Pledge Manager: For those of you new to Kickstarter and crowdfunding, a pledge manager is commonly used after a campaign has ended. Near the end of October, you'll receive an email from BackerKit asking for your shipping address and payment for shipping and taxes. Completing this information is a required step to receive your pledge. If we don't know where to ship it, we can't get it to you!
Late Pledges: For those that were not able to commit to backing the game during the live Kickstarter campaign, we will be taking late pledges via our BackerKit pledge manager in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
Communication: For updates regarding the progress, we will be communicating through Kickstarter Updates (just like this one). You can comment on the updates or reach out to me directly at [email protected] if you have any questions!
Reveal #4
I’m also very excited to announce that Gems of Iridescia is currently in development for both Tabletopia and Board Game Arena! If you use either of those platforms, you’ll be able to play online while you wait for your physical copies. I’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready! I hope to get the chance to play with some of you online!

I got home yesterday evening from SPIEL Essen. Unfortunately my luggage did not make it with me 😅. Thank you to everyone that was able to check out the game at the show. The response from European players was amazing and overwhelmingly positive.
We're in the home stretch now with less than 72 hours left! It would mean the world to us if you could share the campaign with your friends or favorite board game groups!
Interior Box Poll Results
Thank you to everyone that took the time to comment and vote on the interior box design options in last week's poll! Option #2 Map of Iridescia won by a landslide with Option #4 Rhom Scene narrowly beating out Option #1 Diamond Pattern. Instead of just picking one, we will print the Map of Iridescia on the interior box lid and the Rhom Scene on the interior box bottom. Here are the full poll results:

Glow in the Dark Star Gem Token!
The new Star Gem tokens in the mini expansion Starlight of Iridescia will have a “glow in the dark” effect! Yes, I know, you can’t play Gems of Iridescia in the dark, but we thought it would be a fun feature regardless!
SPIEL Essen
This week I will be at SPIEL in Essen! Primarily I will be running demos for Gems of Iridescia in the BackerKit Booth Hall 4 4C211. We have two time slots:
October 4th from 12PM-2PM October 6th from 10AM-12PM

💎 2nd Reveal
Eagle-eyed fans might have spotted the shiny spot UV finish on the Gems of Iridescia logo in the previews—well, I'm thrilled to announce that both versions of the game will feature this beautiful effect on every side of the box lid!
Plus, we’ve made exciting tweaks to the gem tokens in both versions of the game! Thanks to player feedback, the base game’s punchboard tokens now feature a light-colored background instead of black, making the illustrations really pop! Here's a picture showing the comparison:
For the deluxe tokens, I’m ecstatic to confirm that the metallic “iridescent” finish will now be on both sides of the wooden tokens! I know that this is something that really bothered some players that tried the game at recent conventions or noticed that the foil effect was just on one side, so I'm happy we were able to improve it. While I don’t have an image to share yet, I’ll post a video once we get the pre-production samples. In case you missed it on the campaign page, here is an animation of what the effect looks like:

Greetings explorers!
Over the weekend we surpassed the 500% funded mark. Thank you so much for your support, it has truly been overwhelming and amazing.
In addition to that, Gems of Iridescia was selected by Kickstarter as a “Project We Love”! I am shocked and honored. Thank you to all of you that have helped bring attention to the campaign. Y’all are the best!
First Reveal!
Today is one week since we launched so I wanted to provide the first campaign reveal!
We decided to make the board double-sided! The back side will be the same map but with a “Starry night” overlay ideal for playing the Starlight of Iridescia mini expansion.
It has some wonderful new details for you to discover!
CrowdSurfing
Gems of Iridescia will be get a spotlight on The Dice Tower’s CrowdSurfing episode tomorrow, Wednesday September 18th at 2PM, so be sure to tune in if you can! If you can’t tune in live, no worries, I’ll post an updated link once available.
Tabletop Simulator
Lastly, the game is now available on Tabletop Simulator to try!
The Tabletop Simulator mod is up and running for 2 to 4 players. Just click the image below and you're on your way! It is recommended that all plays choose their color/seat prior to clicking one of the Start buttons.
Although the game setup is well scripted everything else is manual such as adjusting the gem market dice, collecting your tiles and replenishing the relic row and market. It is highly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the rules either by reading the available rulebook or by watching one of the great How-To-Play videos on this page.
